THREE DAYS OF MUSIC, DANCE, AND INTERNATIONAL CULTURE! This weekend, Lima is hosting the fourth International Fair for Culture, Tourism, and Education (FICTE 2026). From September 25th to 27th, Parque Kennedy in Miraflores will transform into an international meeting point. 39 exhibitors will bring their countries, traditions, and educational offerings to the heart of the Peruvian capital.
And the best part: admission is free! For three days, visitors can look forward to traditional dances, music, artistic performances, and international encounters. The Miraflores municipal government officially opened the event on September 24th.
39 EXHIBITORS! THE WHOLE WORLD MEETS IN LIMA
It’s getting international here! Embassies, educational institutions, and international organizations are presenting their countries in the heart of Miraflores. Visitors can learn about foreign cultures, marvel at traditional dances, and discover new travel destinations. FICTE 2026 combines an international cultural festival with a fair for tourism and education.
In addition to musical performances, the program includes cultural presentations, information sessions, and personal conversations with representatives of the participating institutions. Parque Kennedy provides a special backdrop for this. The well-known square is located right in the middle of the tourist center of the Peruvian capital. STUDY ABROAD! GET FIRST-HAND INFORMATION HERE
It’s not just for culture fans. The fair also has plenty to offer for students and their families. International educational institutions provide information about study opportunities abroad, language courses, scholarships, and exchange programs. Anyone dreaming of a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree abroad can get information directly from the participating institutions. Topics include application procedures, academic offerings, and international collaborations.
LANGUAGE SPECTACLE ON SATURDAY! EUROPE INVITES YOU TO JOIN IN
Saturday will be especially international! Together with the European cultural network EUNIC, the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute of Lima are organizing a language meeting. During the so-called "Speak Dating," visitors can try out various European languages and test their language skills in short conversations. The event takes place on September 26th from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. An opportunity for everyone who wants to get to know Europe, learn a new language, or study abroad later.
300,000 VISITORS! MIRAFLORES HAS A HUGE GOAL
The organizers have big plans! More than 300,000 people are expected to visit FICTE 2026 during the three days of the event. Through media and online platforms, the municipal government aims to reach more than a million people. These are the organizers' expectations, not already achieved visitor numbers. Whether the fair will actually meet these goals will only become clear after the event weekend.
The international fair takes place around World Tourism Day, which is celebrated every year on September 27th. Since its first edition in 2023, it has aimed to strengthen cultural exchange between Peru and other countries. The participating embassies and organizations do not just present travel destinations but also offer information on language, studies, and international cooperation.
