Perusino, Perusina and Tupac: The Adventure with the Jaguar
It was a sunny day in the high mountains of the Inca Empire. Perusino and Perusina had just enjoyed a hearty breakfast in the palace when they saw Tupac, the little heir to the throne, frolicking in the large square in front of the Temple of the Sun.
"Look, Perusina! Tupac is outside playing with his friends. Do you want to go see him?" asked Perusino.
"Yes, let's play! It's always exciting to spend time with Tupac," Perusina replied with a smile. They ran out together and shouted happily: "Tupac! Do you want to go on an adventure together?"
Tupac turned around and waved to them. "Yeah, come with me! I know a secret place in the woods where we can play!" He pointed to the lush forests that stretched out at the foot of the mountains.
"But it's important that we be careful. The forest can be dangerous too," Tupac added, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
Perusino nodded seriously. “We are ready. You lead us, Tupac!”
The secret place in the forest
The children ran into the forest, laughing and full of anticipation. The trees were tall and close together, and the sunlight filtered through the canopy in gentle rays. Birds chirped happily, and the rustling of the leaves under their feet made the adventure all the more exciting.
After a while they came to a small hidden place where a sparkling river flowed gently through the trees. "This is the place!" Tupac shouted proudly. "Here we can play and enjoy the day!"
They started playing on the river bank, throwing stones and building small boats out of leaves. Tupac was happy to have his new friends with him and they laughed and enjoyed their time together.
But suddenly they heard a low growl from the undergrowth. All the children froze. Perusina put her finger to her lips. "Psst! Did you hear that?"
“What was that?” another child asked fearfully.
Perusino pricked up his ears and whispered: “That sounds like a jaguar…”
The danger in the forest
A few pairs of eyes flashed from the thick undergrowth, and the growling grew louder. A large, majestic jaguar slowly stepped out of the shadows. Its golden fur shone in the sunlight, its eyes fixed firmly on the group of children.
"We have to be careful," Tupac whispered, trying to stay calm. "We can't scare the jaguar, but we also have to get away."
Perusina thought quickly. "We need a plan. If we all run in different directions at the same time, we might confuse the jaguar."
“But what if he runs after one of us?” another child asked frightenedly.
"Don't worry," Perusino said determinedly. "We will make it, together! We have to help each other."
They stood close together as the jaguar slowly approached them, its muscular legs moving smoothly across the forest floor, and the children felt the tingling of fear in their stomachs.
“Now!” Perusina suddenly shouted. “Everyone run in different directions on the count of three!”
“One… two… three!” Tupac shouted, and all the kids jumped apart.
The bold plan
The jaguar was briefly confused when the group split up. He snapped his head left and right, not knowing which of the children to follow. But then he started to run after one of the smaller boys, who was a little slower than the others.
“Oh no!” Perusino cried. “He’s chasing him!”
"We have to save him!" Tupac shouted determinedly. He quickly looked around and spotted a tall tree with thick lianas hanging from it.
"Perusino, Perusina, help me! If we cut the lianas quickly and throw them on the ground, we can set a trap for the jaguar!" explained Tupac. Together they tore down as many lianas as possible and quickly strung them between the trees.
“That will stop him!” Perusina said hopefully.
The little boy ran as fast as he could toward the trap, and the jaguar was right behind him. But as the big jaguar ran through the vines, he got caught and fell to the ground. He was trapped!
“It worked!” Perusino exclaimed with relief.
The jaguar hissed angrily and tried to free itself, but the vines were strong enough to hold it for a while. The children took the opportunity and gathered at a safe distance.
“We did it!” Tupac shouted with relief. “We outsmarted the Jaguar!”
New friendships
The children returned safely to the palace and told the adults about their adventure in the forest. Everyone praised Tupac, Perusina and Perusino for their bravery and wisdom.
“You helped each other and saved everyone,” Amaru said proudly as she hugged Tupac.
"It was truly an adventure we will never forget!" added Perusino. "And now we are all best friends!"
“Yes,” said Tupac, beaming, “no matter what happens, we will always be there for each other.”
From that day on, Perusina, Perusino, Tupac and the other children were inseparable friends. They spent their days experiencing new adventures and learned that with courage, cooperation and friendship they could overcome any challenge.
