Product description
Kaburoh Amazonia is pure organic cocoa mass from the Amazon region in northern Peru. Its bold, earthy aroma with warm cocoa notes is ideal for preparing an intense cocoa drink – plain or with spices.
Benefits
- 100% organic cocoa mass with no other ingredients
- Origin: Amazon region, Peru
- Granules available in 35 g, 250 g, 500 g and 1,000 g sizes; 17 kg pressed block
- No added sugar, vegan
Origin and Processing
The cocoa beans come from smallholder farming families of the Cooperativa Agraria Norandino from the growing areas along the Marañón and Utcubamba rivers. After harvest, the beans are fermented, sun-dried and roasted. The cocoa butter remains in the cocoa mass.
Taste
Amazonia is characterized by a full-bodied, earthy and warm cocoa profile with a slight fruitiness. Unlike the fruitier Piura Blanco, the intense cocoa flavor takes center stage here.
Preparation
For one cup, mix or froth approximately 20–25 g of cocoa granules with 200 ml of water or plant-based drink heated to 60–70 °C. Do not boil. Sweeten or season to taste.
