The term baby alpaca refers to a particularly fine quality grade of alpaca fiber. It does not necessarily mean that the fiber comes from a young animal. Its fine structure contributes to the scarf's soft feel. The Puno region in the southern Peruvian highlands is closely associated with alpaca farming and the processing of their fibers. For the Asiy model, the yarn is woven into a scarf on a hand loom. With its length of 170 cm, Asiy can be worn classically around the neck, loosely looped once, or tied in a simple knot. The width of 27 cm provides enough fabric to comfortably encircle the neck without adding excessive bulk. For this scarf, gentle hand washing in warm water at a maximum of 30°C with a suitable wool detergent is recommended. Do not rub, wring, or twist the textile vigorously. After washing, carefully press out excess water, place the scarf in a towel, and let it dry flat in the air. Avoid direct heat and tumble dryers. Please also follow the care label of the delivered product.
Alpaca fibers contain very little lanolin. However, this does not imply that they are generally hypoallergenic; individual skin reactions can occur with natural fibers as well. As this is a handcrafted natural fiber product, slight variations in dimensions, texture, and color appearance are possible. Color representation may vary depending on your screen.
