Perusina, Perusino, Tupac and the Crazy Race of the Inca Llamas
It was a glorious morning in the land of the Incas, and Perusina, Perusino, and Tupac were busy hanging a rope swing on a large tree. The sun was shining brightly, and the birds were chirping cheerfully. But suddenly, a boy came running up the hill, breathing heavily.

“Hey, you three!” the boy excitedly called out. “You have to come to the big marketplace right away! There’s an Inca llama race, and everyone can participate!”
“What? A llama race?” Perusina asked with wide eyes. “That sounds like fun!”
Perusino grinned broadly. “Races are great! But… how do you ride a llama?”
“Let’s find out!” Tupac exclaimed determinedly. “We can’t miss this!”
Llama Training
The three friends ran to the big marketplace, where a lively commotion was already underway. There were llamas everywhere – big, small, shaggy, and all seemed quite excited. In the middle of the square stood a huge flag with the inscription: “Race of the Llama Masters! Who will be the fastest llama rider in the entire Inca Empire?”
“Here we are!” Perusino called out. “But… how do we get a llama to run with us?”
“Look!” Tupac said, pointing to a woman with a llama that was trying with all its might to chew on a hay bale, while the woman desperately held it by a rope. “I think we need more than just ropes and commands.”
The woman saw the children and laughed. “So you want to participate in the race? Then you’d better get to know your llamas – every llama is different. Some run when they see carrots, others when they have someone singing loudly behind them!”
“Singing?” Perusina giggled. “That’ll be fun!”
Each of the three friends got their own llama. Perusina got a tiny, shaggy llama named Wuschel, who constantly shook its head. Perusino got a llama named Turbo, who didn’t look like it wanted to run at all – it just lay down. And Tupac got a huge llama named Donner, who immediately started jumping around wildly.
“Um, I think we need to practice…” Tupac said carefully, trying to calm Donner.
The Crazy Race Begins
When the starting gun fired, all the llamas were ready – well, almost all. The drums sounded, and the crowd cheered loudly as the llamas set off. But after the first few steps, it was clear: this race wouldn’t be so easy.
Wuschel, Perusina’s llama, was faster than expected – but it had its own way of running. Instead of running straight, it made wild zigzag movements. “Where are you going?” Perusina cried, laughing, clinging to Wuschel’s side. “Straight ahead, Wuschel, straight ahead!”
Perusino had a different problem. Turbo, the laziest llama in the world, simply refused to get up. Perusino tried everything – from singing to dancing. Nothing worked until he finally had an idea: “What if I show you a carrot?” He held up a carrot, and suddenly Turbo sprang up and shot off like lightning! “That was close!” Perusino exclaimed in surprise, as Turbo raced across the track with carrot-power.
Things didn’t look any better for Tupac. His llama, Donner, jumped so wildly that it looked more like a crazy dance than a run. “Stay calm!” Tupac cried, clinging to its shaggy neck. “We just need to go forward, not up!”
The Obstacles of the Race
But the race wasn’t just a run – there were obstacles too! Suddenly, they were faced with a large mud puddle in the middle of the track.
“Oh-oh,” Perusina said, as she saw other llamas with their riders sliding into the mud and getting stuck. “Wuschel, we have to jump over it!”
But Wuschel had other plans. Instead of jumping, it made a quick turn and ran in a wide arc around the mud puddle. “That was… clever!” Perusina cried, clapping her hands.
Turbo, Perusino’s carrot-loving llama, ran straight towards the mud puddle. “No, Turbo, don’t!” Perusino cried desperately. But Turbo took a huge leap and actually jumped over the entire hole! “Wow, I didn’t know you could do that!” Perusino said excitedly.
Tupac and Donner weren’t as skilled. Donner really wanted to hop through the mud, and when he did, mud splashed everywhere – and landed directly on Tupac. “Aaaah!” Tupac screamed, laughing at the same time. “Now I’m a mud monster!”
The Grand Finale
After overcoming the mud puddle, they reached the home stretch. The crowd cheered, and the llamas gave it their all once more. Perusina giggled as Wuschel suddenly started a final sprint, and Perusino held on to Turbo, who was heading for the last carrot they had placed at the finish line.
But in the end, it was Tupac, with Donner, who made the wildest final sprint. Donner jumped around like crazy, swirling mud everywhere, and shot across the finish line, while Tupac almost fell off his llama from laughing.
“We made it!” Tupac exclaimed as they reached the finish line.
“That was the craziest race ever!” laughed Perusina, who also crossed the finish line.
“And I think Turbo really fell in love with carrots,” Perusino said, grinning, as Turbo happily devoured its reward.
The Prize for the Best Llama Riders
When the race was over, all three friends stood proudly on the podium. They might not have won the fastest race, but they had experienced the funniest and craziest adventures with their llamas.
“You might not have come in first place,” the announcer said, laughing, “but you get the prize for the funniest race!”
The crowd cheered, and Perusina, Perusino, and Tupac proudly accepted their prizes: each received a large bag full of carrots and a golden llama badge.
“I’ll never forget how we rode in that crazy race,” Perusino said, smirking.
“And the best part is: our llamas are the true heroes!” Tupac added.
The friends laughed and rejoiced about their crazy, muddy day. They knew they would soon experience a new adventure – but this time, perhaps without wild jumping llamas!
