The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly Cusco and the world famous Machu Picchu. The historic ruins of Cusco, once the center of the Inca Empire, fascinated us with their architecture and history. Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu was strenuous, but the breathtaking views and historical significance made it an unforgettable experience.

It was a journey of extremes - from sublime sunsets to hours of rain. The silence of the jungle was broken only by the sound of wildlife, and the days were dictated by the rising and setting sun.

Puerto Malabrigo, a small town on the edge of the village with desert right on the doorstep, offered the perfect backdrop for this surfer's paradise. Chicama is appreciated not only by surfers, but also by everyone who wants to experience the fascination of the longest wave in the world.

In the first ten months of the year, Peruvian airports recorded a total of 27 million passengers - a stunning recovery to 90.8% of 2019 pre-pandemic levels. This is also reflected in the movements of domestic and international passengers, which are almost at normal levels.

These two attractions offer not only a glimpse into the amazing culture of the Incas, but also spectacular views and unique stories.

The geoglyphs of Atacama are not only works of art from the past, but also windows into the history and culture of a bygone era. The people who created them leave us a legacy that we are only slowly beginning to understand.

The Ollantaytambo ruins are not only a place of architecture and history, but also linked to romantic legends.

The classic Inca Trail covers a distance of approximately 26 miles (42 kilometers) and passes through varied and breathtaking scenery.
