Day 1 - 31 Peru - A land of wonders and warmth
Peru, the land of the Incas and breathtaking landscapes, holds a wealth of treasures waiting to be discovered. From the majestic peaks of the Andes to the dense rainforests of the Amazon, Peru offers a variety of unique experiences for adventurers, history buffs and nature lovers alike.
The magic of Machu Picchu
An unforgettable highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the visit to Machu Picchu , one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the world. Located high in the clouds, this ancient Inca city fascinated us with its impressive architecture and spectacular location. The mystical atmosphere and breathtaking views made this moment a truly magical experience.
But Machu Picchu is not only a place of the past, but also a place of the present, where people from all over the world meet to honor the Inca heritage and enjoy the beauty of nature. We met travelers from different countries who, like us, were fascinated by the history and magic of this place. Together we explored the ancient ruins, hiked through the surrounding countryside and enjoyed the feeling of being part of something bigger

The diversity of nature
But Peru has much more to offer than just historical sites. The diversity of nature is as impressive as it is diverse. The Sacred Valley , Colca Canyon , Lake Titicaca and Rainbow Mountain are just a few examples of the breathtaking natural beauty this country has to offer. Hiking through these areas allowed us to experience the beauty of the Peruvian landscape up close and feel the peace and harmony of nature.
We were particularly impressed by the Colca Canyon , one of the deepest gorges in the world. Here we hiked along steep cliffs, watched majestic condors in the sky, and enjoyed the spectacular views of the rugged rock formations and green oases at the canyon floor. It was an unforgettable adventure that impressively showed us the beauty and power of nature.
The warmth of the people
However, what really sets Peru apart are the people who live here. The Peruvians welcomed us with open arms and a smile on their faces that outshone the sun itself. Their hospitality, their warmth and their joy of life are contagious and touch the heart. In the villages of the Andes, the streets of Lima and the markets of Cusco , we learned about the culture and traditions of the locals and immediately felt at home.
The encounters with the people in Peru were a highlight of our trip for us. We heard stories of times gone by, tasted traditional dishes and danced to the rhythmic sounds of Peruvian music. These moments of connection and joy will remain in our memories for a long time and made our trip something very special.
