PeruMagazine

In a landmark operation, Peruvian police have seized more than 19 tons of drugs in various regions of the country. Under the leadership of Interior Minister Falcón, the strike was carried out against criminal organizations active in the illegal drug trade. Over half of the substances seized turned out to be cocaine, with the largest quantities discovered in the regions of Piura in the north and Ayacucho and Puno in the south of the Andean country.

The action marks a significant success in the fight against drug trafficking and signals a serious setback for the country's criminal underworld. The Peruvian government emphasizes its determination to step up prosecutions and hold those responsible accountable. At the same time, preventative measures and educational programs should be strengthened in order to counteract the roots of drug trafficking.
