Nachwuchs der stärksten Liga der Welt - Teil 1

Youngsters of the strongest league in the world - Part 1

The time comes. September 1st is not far away. The teams are preparing and have already completed the first tests. Yes, the strongest league in the world with the not strongest national team in the world. We'll look at the clubs that do something for the youngsters themselves and those that do the shopping. How many German players are in the squad, where do players from our own youth team play in the strongest league in the world. And at the end you form your opinions about the philosophy of the individual clubs.

The reigning champions' squad is quite small at 17 and perhaps a little too small with a view to the European competitions. The team also had a huge program last season. Only this time it's going to be with the champions. We will know in a year whether it is enough.

Magdeburg has five German players at the start. Two of them from my own youth. There are six players under contract with other clubs who are being trained in Magdeburg.

Conclusion: Magdeburg's training is bearing fruit. Unfortunately only to a small extent in the league. We should be worried somewhere. In the past, the final pairing of the German championship was often Füchse Berlin against SC Magdeburg. Berlin is probably still there, but Magdeburg is leaving a lot of points here. Maybe this title is the beginning of Magdeburg handball again.
