Day 28 - Hiking to Rainbow Mountain and exploring the Red Valley
With the highest point of the hike at 5000 meters above sea level, it is advisable to do the hike after a few days in Cusco or after one of the multi-day hikes to Machu Picchu to avoid altitude sickness. The hike to Rainbow Mountain is spectacular, especially when the weather is sunny and the sun highlights the colorful stripes.
