Lima, Larcomar – A piece of Italy with a view of the Pacific

Once again we were drawn to the Trattoria di Mambrino in Larcomar - a place that is a popular meeting place not only for tourists but also for locals. The elegant, yet relaxed ambience of the restaurant fits perfectly with its location on the Malecón de la Reserva. The view of the Pacific and the light sea breeze make every visit a little moment of pleasure.

Our experience:
What we particularly like is the successful

Combination of traditional Italian cuisine and modern interpretation. The menu offers a balanced selection of classics such as homemade pasta and pizza, complemented by creative dishes that leave you wanting more. The spaghetti alle vongole and the crispy pizza Margherita were our favorites. The wine list also has a good selection that rounds off the flavor of each dish.

The service is attentive, friendly and unobtrusive, although it may take a moment longer here and there for the order to be served - but that is part of the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant.

Why we come back:
La Trattoria di Mambrino is not an insider tip, but a classic in Miraflores. That is precisely why we appreciate the reliability with which the restaurant offers a solid experience. The price-performance ratio is fair, the quality of the food is consistently good, and the atmosphere is pleasant. It is a place we like to return to, whether for a business lunch or a relaxed lunch overlooking the sea.

A visit to Trattoria di Mambrino is always worthwhile, especially if you fancy Italian cuisine with a touch of Peru. For us, it remains a favourite in Larcomar – not perfect, but certainly good enough to keep coming back.
