A visit to the Plaza San Miguel shopping center in Lima is hard to imagine without a visit to the restaurant La Bistecca Fusión . Known for its huge buffet, it attracts hungry families as well as friends of international cuisine. But is it really worth a visit? PeruMagazine has looked around on site – and took a closer look at the light and shadow.

The concept: pure diversity

La Bistecca scores at first glance with an impressive selection: from grill stations and pasta counters to pizza from the stone oven and fresh ceviche and salad, there seems to be everything your heart desires. If you like variety, you will definitely find what you are looking for here. The buffet is well-stocked and also offers dessert and drinks to round off the evening.

The chaos at the buffet

As large as the selection is, the organization leaves a lot to be desired. Especially at peak times, there is a real crush, and the live stations can be overcrowded. A simple mini hamburger? You can get one - but if you're unlucky, you'll have to wait an hour. Patience is definitely required here, and the hectic hustle and bustle is not for guests who prefer a quieter atmosphere.

A hit for buffet lovers

For fans of buffets who are happy to put up with a bit of chaos, La Bistecca is still a good place to go. The quality of the food is solid, and if you are not put off by the crowds, you will be rewarded with a varied meal. The price of around 50 to 60 soles (depending on the day of the week) is reasonable for the variety, but not necessarily a bargain.

La Bistecca Fusión offers a lot - maybe even too much. The selection is impressive, but the crowds and long wait times can spoil the experience. If you love buffets and aren't afraid to fight a little for your food, you'll find what you're looking for here. For everyone else, it might be worth considering looking for a quieter alternative.
